Imagine-toi is a wordless performance, poetic and deeply human, brought to life through the art of mime and contemporary clowning. Alone on stage, Julien Cottereau invites the audience to dive into a rich imaginary world, where invisible objects come alive and every gesture tells a story.
Through a series of scenes that are by turns humorous and moving, he explores the great themes of existence: childhood, solitude, dreams, freedom, and the ability to see the world differently. His precise and expressive performance transforms emptiness into scenery, silence into music, and the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Accessible to all ages and cultures, Imagine-toi is an ode to imagination and creativity—a show that makes people laugh, moves them deeply, and gently reminds us that what truly matters is often found in what we choose to imagine.

““Once the curtain falls, a little boy cries because the show is over. Coming back down to earth is hard — for adults too.””
““Alone on stage, he works wonders, spotting makeshift accomplices in the audience. Children or adults, even the most reserved join in, thrilled by the experience.””
““In the magical world of Cirque du Soleil’s Saltimbanco, there was a quirky clown who made me burst out laughing every time he appeared. One day, this character broke free to create Imagine-toi, which went on to win the Molière Award for Best Newcomer in 2007.””
““An exceptional mime who jumps rope without a rope and plays ball without a ball, Julien Cottereau is also a brilliant sound artist, whose evocative gestures are accompanied by astonishing vocal feats.””
