On November 15, 2024 at 8pm, Quebec circus company Machine de Cirque will present its latest show, Kintsugi, at the prestigious CINARS Biennale in Montreal. This event, dedicated to the export of Quebec and Canadian performing arts, will host the 21st edition of this not-to-be-missed event from November 11 to 16, 2024.
Kintsugi plunges viewers into a mysterious, poetic world. Eight individuals meet at a bus stop on the edge of the world. What are their stories? What is their destination? They all have one thing in common: the desire to leave, to explore the unknown. But one rule remains: they can only take one piece of luggage with them. The choice of this single object raises profound questions about attachment, memories and the passage of time.
Through acrobatic prowess and strikingly beautiful movements, Kintsugi depicts a ballet of human relationships, a quest for solidarity, shared emotions, and moments suspended between dream and reality. In this borderless space, bodies meet, connect and fade away in a dreamlike haze, creating a tableau of visual poetry.
