South African company Zip Zap Circus is currently presenting its show Moya at La Villette in Paris, running until December 29, 2024. This new creation, by ten young artists from the Zip Zap Circus School, celebrates South Africa's cultural heritage while paying tribute to Nelson Mandela's dream of a united rainbow nation.
Moya is much more than just a show: it's a vibrant celebration of South Africa's diversity. Through a spectacular blend of contemporary acrobatics and traditional dances such as Gum Boots and Pantsula, the artists illustrate their struggle against adversity and their quest for emancipation through art.
